    I was looking at the Land Pride PF20 clamp-ons. Seemed handy to have some forks, and keep my bucket functionality for multi-tasking a chore. Not being able to see what I'm picking up kills it. Embarrassingly obvious, but I din't consider it until you mentioned it. Thanks!

    You are wrong, the key fob is a transponder and replies to the signal your car is broadcasting continuously. Please check your facts. Don't spread bullshit please.

    Everyone should have a Steering wheel lock cable or bar & Ham Radio hidden aprs transmitter to track your vehicle. There should be an easy way to make a farady box to block it's signal when in your house if you didn't want to buy one. What's amazing is they have not put a transmit kill switch on the device.

    A faraday pouch can be made from any metal window screen or aluminum foil... wrap your fob in it and see.

    As I do not use my truck very often, and something very slowly drains my battery if it's not started and run for awhile, I put in a kill switch... I used a regular residential switch box, light switch, and a length of cheap old jumper cable wire.... I already had everything, but if I had to go buy everything, it'd be less than $20... I don't know if that would work for everybody, but nothing can happen unless that switch is on... PERIOD...

    Will take the Fob out of the equation, but not the electronic signal to the car using an external frequency. You are better off to put a cutoff switch to the starter.

    Not on the topic of your video but I noticed that the slide bar in your right sway bar is bent. I have the same tractor and the exact same bar is bent on my tractor.I took off my bar and bent it straight and within 3 months I noticed mine was bent again. I wonder if this is a problem endemic to the Kubota B26601?

    That garden looks like a ton of work but really nice. And it looks like you're building a commercial range. We cut up some trees into 24" lengths, piled them up 4 feet and piled on the dirt about 5 feet tall. We have a 100, 200 and 300 yd range. Waiting to see the finished product on yours. It'll be nice. Don't get too overheated. Our bodies don't work like they did at 30. God Bless fellas.

    So the moral of this story is to have really good auto insurance; a Faraday cage for the key fob; a tracker on your vehicle; AND a burglar alarm system on your vehicle that prevents it from starting even with the Fob. You need the tracker because your vehicle can easily be towed away.

    I'm here again two years later and the pouch works great! I would add though that there are two pockets. One of them blocks the signal and the other one doesn't. It is convenient to leave the fob in the one that doesn't block the signal, but I'm just realizing that I'm taking a big risk every time I go somewhere. However, I did buy a second pouch for my spare fob and leave it in the pocket that blocks the signal. The spare sits in the house. Thanks for the reminder to protect my regularly used fob.

    GP you know the ends of the logs you are cutting off and putting in a pile ? My family use to buy them from a Pallet company to use for starting fires. We bought them in a huge bundle and then we would cut them up about 16 inches stack then and split them as needed to start the fires. Even used the bark as well. we wasted nothing.

      @@GPOutdoors Lol we used a skill saw to cut them up it worked great till my Dad cut his shin almost in half. See my dad would lay them on a saw horse and cut them with the skill saw. Then as the pile gets to big he would kick the pile over to add more to the pile as he is cutting. I just a little boy of 8 years old asked my dad wouldn't that cut your leg if you was to keep cutting as you kick the wood over and cut your leg at the same time? Dad looks at me with the look that could kill and said NO! Son not when you know what you are doing. You are to young to understand now just leave me alone. So like a good boy I said nothing and just watched and as he kicked over 3 piles as he is cutting I guess he was right. But the fourth pile was the killer. He was on a roll and kicked the pile at the same time he was cutting the slab and it cut right through his shin. Dad did not scream but he did say OH SHYT . I said you said that wont happen. He said Son not now. Well he was rushed to the Doctors office then to a hospital and 6 hours later he was back home. I was cutting slabs with the skill saw after that. I think Dad wanted to teach me a lesson lmao.

    Forgive me for asking this perhaps foolish question but why not just have the insurance cover the cost of your stolen vehicle isn’t that what car insurance is for just like if you home gets flooded or fire damage isn’t insurance there to cover these expenses?

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors 8 днів тому

      Hey good day Jamie - that is an excellent question - My insurance does cover the cost of stolen vehicles, and it did, in fact. I got a brand new replacement truck literally on the day the police found my old truck in a shipping container on the docks of Lake Ontario. However, I am not sure if you live in Canada but it has been on the news quite a bit over the last few months - if you have too many claims, the insurance company can deny your insurance coverage going forward, forcing you to buy insurance from a "High Risk " broker. That means you will pay up to 5 x or more, what you would normally pay as the theft(s) make me a high risk. Thanks - great question. Wish you all the best!

    Remember 1968, 1974 GM & Ford used 4 wires on the back of the key ignition switch. You could park your truck, vehicle somewhere and they would take your vehicle for ride. To stop this we ran a kill Switch from the battery to the The starter and.ignition we had a switch underneath the Dashed to be turned on before Turning the key on to start your vehicle . It’s simple and It works. Hide the switch in a Good place. They will look for It.

    I have an idea for a video that I think would be very beneficial for those of us looking to buy a tractor. It would be nice to know what repair work will be needed as part of the normal use of a tractor and whether you could do the work yourself. Plus, what would the repair entail. I'm not referring to regular maintenance, but what could happen in daily use where you'd need to correct/fix something. Thank you for considering.

      Hey Jim. Sorry for the delay. That would be a great idea except I have only once ever had any repair work outside of regular maintenance on either my B2601 or this LX2610. I keep up my regular maintenance and honestly , since 2017, I have only once had to replace a small loader hydraulic cable on my B2601, which cost me $15 CDN. Nothing else. This LX2610, just passed 410 hours, and not a single issue outside of regular maintenance. If you are looking to get an idea of annual costs, I spend about $35.00/mth on insurance, I get about 15-17 hours on a tank of diesel, (about 12 hours in the winter), and other than regular maintenance parts/costs, that's it. I have to top up the hydraulic fluid every once in a while etc but nothing else. I seldom have to top up oil. After the first 50 hours, it barely burns any engine oil. Hope that helps you. Cheers!
